COVID is somewhat a memory and we need to form fellowships again with old and new. What better way than eating a bowl of good soup with cornbread on a Fall Day and visiting with friends?

When Louise Garrett moved to California, she forgot about her home church’s Annual Fall email announcing the Golden Ladle Soup Competition. The congregation would come alive with a flurry of everything from questions about the difference between a soup and a stew to memes referencing Larry Thomas’ infamous soup-based role in the 90’s sitcom Seinfeld. She quickly found herself laughing along with the congregation and getting into the spirit of soup.

In that spirit, we are reviving a Tradition, The Golden Ladle Soup Competition!
