DESCRIPTION:COVID is somewhat a memory and we need to form fellowships agai
 n with old and new. What better way than eating a bowl of good soup with c
 ornbread on a Fall Day and visiting with friends?\n\nWhen Louise Garrett m
 oved to California\, she forgot about her home church’s Annual Fall emai
 l announcing the Golden Ladle Soup Competition. The congregation would com
 e alive with a flurry of everything from questions about the difference be
 tween a soup and a stew to memes referencing Larry Thomas’ infamous soup
 -based role in the 90’s sitcom Seinfeld. She quickly found herself laugh
 ing along with the congregation and getting into the spirit of soup.\n\nIn
  that spirit\, we are reviving a Tradition\, The Golden Ladle Soup Competi
 tion!\n\nSoup Cook-Off Official Rules\n\n• Open to Anyone\n• Contestan
 ts ages 12+ welcome\n• Amateurs and professionals welcome\nRules and Gen
 eral Info:\n• All entries must be made from “home style” ingredients
 . No packaged mixes or canned soup/chili.\n• All entries must be pre-coo
 ked prior to the event. Food should be brought “ready-to-eat”.\n• Co
 ntestants are responsible for supplying all of their own utensils and prod
 ucts related to their entry. Please bring in a crockpot(s)/or equivalent r
 eady for serving. Tables and table cover will be provided by the UUFSD Kit
 chen. Please bring extension cords to use from the table to the power stri
 p.\n• Setup starts at 9:00am and entries need to be ready by 11:00 am. S
 ampling begins at 11:15 am. Each contestant is responsible for cleaning up
  and for removing all items from their area. Cleaning may begin at the end
  of voting.\n• Judging will be done by “people’s choice” and will 
 begin at 11:15 am. Attendees\, “the judges”\, will be given five token
 s upon donating $5.00 for the event. Tokens will be submitted in a contain
 er provided be side each entry. Contestants eat Free and are allowed to vo
 te.\nPrizes are TBD.\n• Sampling cups\, bowls\, plastic spoons\, cornbre
 ad\, crackers\, bottled water\, and napkins will be\nprovided by the Kitch
 en.\n• Dessert will be provided unless donated.\n• Entry Deadline is N
