Special Guest: Yusef Miller from the Racial Justice Coalition. Yusef was born to Muslim parents in a poverty-stricken neighborhood (ghetto/projects), so he feels connected to the plight of the lower class struggle (minimum wage employment, lack of healthcare, exposure to violence and drugs). He joined the US Navy after High School as a Hospital Corpsman (combat medic) and served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He retired after 24 years of service in 2011, and after that, dedicated his time to social justice. As an African American, he feels free to speak out against unfair U.S. policies without fear of deportation. He feels an obligation to speak up for our immigrant brothers and sisters, who fear reprisals. He is a proud Muslim African-American Military Veteran.

He the founder of Mosques Against Trafficking, Pink Crescent, Clergy for the Coastline, and is part of the Racial Justice Coalition, an anti-police brutality organization, that lobbies for legislation to hold law enforcement officers accountable for illegal activities.
