As a recent article in The Guardian put it, we may be baffled by those who are in denial about vaccines and masks, but if we, in our turn, accept the science marshaled by the IPPC that “sea level is rising, the polar ice is melting, there are floods, droughts and heatwaves and that human activity is unequivocally the cause”, and do not in turn change our own behavior, we are every bit as much in denial.
