White People for Racial Justice 101
Join Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) San Diego for an interactive workshop where we will discuss and apply the basics of white supremacy, privilege, and fragility. SURJ moves white people into accountable action as part of a multi-racial movement through community organizing, mobilizing, and education. This is a chance for white folks to gain practical tools for unlearning your own biases, identifying everyday racism, and taking action to fight for racial equality. We welcome all, particularly those who have recently attended a Chapter Meeting and/or a New Member Orientation. This event will be an engaging and interactive workshop. As a result, we are limiting attendance to 40 people.
This workshop will not be recorded or shared later. We hope you can join a workshop at some point this soon and will continue to develop your antiracist commitment in different ways over the coming months.
