 f volunteering and lay leadership was not a means to an end but an end in 
 itself? Could we experience the meeting room as a zendo and the deliberati
 ons of a task force as a form of group prayer? Imagine church not as a pla
 ce led by a few overly taxed people but one where leadership is a broadly 
 shared ministry that members of the congregation undertake for the deep jo
 y of it.\n\nServing with Grace is offered to help us grow in our understa
 nding of who we are as leaders\, deepen connections with one another and b
 egin to see the time and energy we offer to the fellowship as an integral 
 part of our spiritual life.\n\nThe class is offered as three three-hour wo
 rkshops that go together but also stand alone as one-off experiences. Plea
 se plan to come to all three if you are able. Facilitated by Rev. Meghan t
 he class will be use the book Serving With Grace\, by Erik Walker Wikstro
 m\, Copies of the book are available in the UUFSD Office for purchase ($10
 .50). Committee chairs and members\, volunteers\, directors of the board\,
  and anyone interested in lay leadership are especially encouraged to atte
