Join the Racial Justice Task Force for a Book Discussion over Zoom
We will be trying out the app Zoom for a book discussion on Sunday, April 26th at 2pm. Look in the newsletter next week for the Zoom connection details.
Our topic involves immigration, including our southern border and its dangers:
The Line Becomes a River: Dispatches from the Border (2018) is a memoir
by Francisco Cantú. This author writes stunningly about the beauty of the desert. The son of a park ranger, Cantú grew up in the southwest. When he joined the Border Patrol, he became witness to the stark realities of our southern border, where the obligations of his job weighed heavily against his values.
Call or text Cathy Leach-Phillips at 650 224-1974 or email bookclub@uufsd.org if you have any questions. All who have read the book are welcome.
This will be a Zoom meeting hosted by Dana Friehauf. Below is the meeting information. Please contact Dana at dfriehauf@yahoo.com if you need assistance using Zoom.
