DESCRIPTION:What is Nonviolent Communication?\n\nOut beyond ideas of wrong-
 doing\, and right-doing\, there is a field. I will meet you there.\n-- Rum
 i\n\nWith Nonviolent Communication (NVC) we learn to hear our own deeper n
 eeds and those of others. Through its emphasis on deep listening—to ours
 elves as well as others—NVC helps us discover the depth of our own compa
 ssion. This language reveals the awareness that all human beings are only 
 trying to honor universal values and needs\, every minute\, every day.\n\n
 NVC can be seen as both a spiritual practice that helps us see our common 
 humanity\, using our power in a way that honors everyone's needs\, and a c
 oncrete set of skills which help us create life-serving families and commu
 nities.\n\nThe form is simple\, yet powerfully transformative. This class 
 will meet for four consecutive Mondays beginning Jan.13\, 2020. No charge 
 but donations gratefully accepted to sponsor future adult education events
