DESCRIPTION:Matthew Brensilver\, MSW\, PhD teaches retreats at the Insight 
 Retreat Center\, Spirit Rock and other Buddhist centers. For more than a d
 ecade\, was a core teacher at Against the Stream Buddhist Meditation Socie
 ty. Before committing to teach meditation full-time\, he spent years doing
  research on addiction pharmacotherapy at the UCLA Center for Behavioral a
 nd Addiction Medicine. He has taught extensively about the intersection be
 tween mindfulness and psychotherapy at UCLA and other universities. He ser
 ves on the Board of Directors at Spirit Rock and Insight Meditation Center
 . Matthew is the co-author of two books about meditation during adolescenc
 e and continues to be interested in the unfolding dialogue between Buddhis
 m and science.\n\nUUFSD is joining with First Church and Insight San Diego
