The RJTF recommends this workshop: Aware LA is offering the following opportunity this weekend and future weekends; “Engaging in Difficult Conversations: how to talk to other white people about race, racism, and white supremacy.” The ZOOM registration link is HERE for the Saturday dialog and HERE for the Sunday dialogue.
In this workshop, we will share tools and practice skills that can allow us to stay in relationship and have more effective conversations with white people in our lives. Whether you are new or seasoned at having difficult conversations, you are welcome to attend. We will offer an opportunity to practice some of the skills we’ll be sharing in this workshop. You will be able to practice having a difficult conversation or responding to a troubling statement, so please show up with a question/statement/scenario you would like to practice!
For the Dialogues, you can sign up for:
First Saturday Dialogue – 1:00pm – 3:15pm
Second Saturday Dialogue – 10:30am – 12:30pm
Third Sunday Dialogue – 3:00pm – 5:00pm*
Fourth Saturday Workshop – 1:00pm – 3:15pm
