 n\, Winner of the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. Half Vietnamese\, half 
 French\, educated in the United States\, the narrator returns to Vietnam a
 nd finds himself naturally suited to espionage\, which he pursues while wo
 rking in the South Vietnamese army and serving as the trusted aide of a ge
 neral with strong CIA connections. This novel is many things\, as is its p
