Dream Builders Committee is happy to announce construction of our Phase 2 project will finally be starting during the week of August 8. Site access to the west end of the campus and use of the lower parking lot will be impacted. The contractor is required to maintain a minimum of 25 parking spaces in the lower lot throughout the construction period. There may be more than 25 spaces at any time but that is up to the contractor according to their logistics. The 25 spaces in the lower lot are available for UUFSD meetings & events between the hours of: Mon-Fri: 9:30am-12pm and after 3pm, Sat-Sun: All day. Please endeavor to keep the lower parking lot clear of UUFSD cars during Sandy Hill’s parent usage times (M-F 8-9:30am and 12-3pm.). Due to liability issues, UUFSD cannot supply a shuttle for our Sunday services. We encourage you to arrive early and carpool up from the Vons parking lot if possible.
Due to the limited points of access for those with mobility challenges, the upper parking lot will be reserved exclusively for handicap parking and drop-off on Sundays. In order to avoid traffic issues, we have volunteers who will direct traffic on Sundays and close the lower parking lot when it is full. Our sermons will take place inside Founders’ Hall for the duration of construction as there will be no access to the Amphitheater from start of construction through the end of October.
There is abundant street parking on Solana Drive east of the main entry to our campus. Parking at LePort will also be available on Sundays, a short walk to the Fellowship on Solana Drive. All construction and public traffic will continue to enter and exit through our main entrance on Solana Drive. We ask for your understanding and patience while this important project is underway. Your questions or comments should be directed to Dream Builders (Jon Luft or Chris Faller), or our Administrator.
